Grow Your Business With More Quality Leads

A website is a critical component to your marketing, both from an image perspective and also a lead generation opportunity.
Background

Many companies such as Vintage Window Restoration featured here, have been successful over a period of time without even having a website due to networking and referral sales. This successful company was in business for about five years when they decided it was time to have their image match their capabilities as well as expand his lead generation efforts. They realized solely relying on word of mouth is not a long term strategy. They also do not like hearing from others say “If I only knew your company could have helped me.”

Vintage Window Restoration took the approach to learn a little about marketing and website SEO through the Basic Class and Advanced Class. They also had a Marketing Plan to help them create a more strategic relationship with their website company.

Before Content Writing only Facebook without website
Marketing Strategy

Vintage Window Restoration was only using Facebook to promote their business for many years.  There was no real marketing strategy in place other than the company posting job updates and other social events such as their participation educational workshops.  Surprisingly the company did quite well with this Social Networking tool. This became the center of the Marketing Strategy as we were planning for a new website.  There was something special about Vintage’s ability to articulate which not only benefitted Vintage for their new website, but also become the centerpiece for this Case Study.

Website Strategy
The goal to boost traffic to a new contractor website begins by creating as many new pages with different content.  Many people have a hard time explaining what they actually do so they hire someone else to create their content.  Vintage Window Restoration had a unique ability to articulate so we guided them how to build their story.  They never looked back once a template was organized.  We began by creating a file structure where Vintage would first organize all their pictures into groups based on the service or location he could talk about. That was no easy task since we also needed to rename all the picture file names because most were generated by a camera with cryptic file names.  This is one of the first steps where Search Engine Optimization, otherwise known as SEO begins to take form.

The pictures were separated by Residential and Commercial work. From there they were further separated into Window and Wood services. And then finally we further separated into Preservation, Restoration and other services.  After all this, we then created files that had Location-specific photos. Once completed, Vintage Window Restorations really shined by simply organizing the photos as shown here, and articulating about the specific service they provide as well as providing a thorough overview for the pictures. These write ups become a fantastic representation for future clients as well as for the Search Engines to rank them.

Tying Everything Together

Combining Education and Strategy was important to get this contractor in the right direction with their marketing efforts.  It was important to focus on their competitors’ weaknesses along with using the strength of content creation to clearly separate Vintage from its’ competitors for years to come.  In this case, the owner had little to say but with an impact that many can envy.

“This is a dream come true for me. I knew very little about marketing and building a website.  Facebook was all I knew because it was free and relatively easy to use.  When I was put in contact with MyOnlineToolbox, they guided me through an aspect of business that I had no clue what I was getting into.  Fortunately, with their experience in working with folk (that are new to marketing) like me, I was able to break it down to bite size pieces and build the content for an unique website to not only outperform my competition but also have a very professional image that surpasses most other contractors in my area.  When I started this small business in a dirt floor garage, I dreamed of having a “real about my company” website.  It is an amazing feeling to have that dream materialize from the ethers.  We are already seeing results and I know it will only improve over time. ”
